[feature request] add version parameter

I see that on github there are tagged releases, however the gcs and gcstools binaries do not have a version parameter.
Can this be implemented so that the version of the binaries can be tracked?

I was referring to the Linux binaries of opengcs - talking at least about gcs and gcstools, though I see that a few other binaries get built.
So probably yes, the "--version" would work.
