Access other users 'shared' recipes folders?

On my instance I have shared my (I'm admin) Recipes folder with a group and by them changing their individual recipes folder to that shared folder in the settings, we can all access to read/add more recipes between us. That works fine.
I noticed when using the Music app that if I share my music folder to the the group, it detects the share and offers to scan/add it to the available music library. No need for users to change their default music folder to be my shared one.
I wondered if this was a possible feature to emulate in the Cookbook app maybe?
