Failed to find the exported name of node

I installed this module usig below command

npm i angular-material-fileupload

After that when i try to restart my server using ng serve i got this error

I am getting the same error after upgrading to Angular 9 on my app and updating Material

Getting the same error after upgrading project to Angular 9.1.1 from Angular 5 (via 6->7->8->9). The project continued to work for a while, then another ng build started showing that error and haven't found a way to correct it. I initially noticed the error when running ng test. Now looking for some way to downgrade back to Angular 5--or some intermediate version that works.

@RKHenry I was on 8.2.2 and upgraded to 9.1.2 and that's when it stopped working. Just to let you know that you don't have to downgrade back to 5

Have the same issue. Added MatIconModule into the export {} of matFIleUpload.esm.js out of the blue, the error has changed to something so similar to this one. The new error was about HttpClientModule().
