[Bug]: `list_code_usages` Invalid window id

Describe the bug

Using the list_code_usages tool will give an error. Example error message:

Offending line of code:

api.nvim_set_current_win(context_winnr)

This occurs when you open a chat buffer then close a window (e.g., an adjacent split) which invalidates the initially acquired window.

Steps to reproduce

1. open neovim on a source code file
2. open chat buffer in a split
3. provide @{list_code_usage} tool
4. close the original source code file window while keeping the chat buffer open
5. send query

error free list_code_usage calls

@sg1fan — thanks for the clear report and repro steps. You did include a minimal.lua, but it appears to be the template verbatim (it still contains the sentinel comment “-- Leaving this comment in to see if the issue author notices ;-)”), which usually means it wasn’t actually run as a standalone repro. Please do the following so maintainers can reproduce and debug:

• Remove that sentinel comment and re-run the repro exactly with: nvim --clean -u minimal.lua, following your listed steps (open source file, open chat split, invoke @{list_code_usages}, close the source split, then send the query).
• If the error still occurs, paste the exact error/stack trace and the full plugin DEBUG logs (you already set log_level = "DEBUG" — include the plugin logs or output from :messages).
• Confirm whether the included telescope dependency is required for your repro (it isn’t needed for the copilot adapter) or remove it from minimal.lua to keep the repro minimal.

If you confirm the repro with the cleaned minimal.lua and provide the logs, we can mark this as reproducible and triage/fix. Thanks!

This is such an edge case I doubt I'll fix it.

Can you still continue the conversation in the chat buffer?

Fair enough. For me though, it is common to open and close windows. If I'm not paying attention, I could end up wasting my time (and money) if I'm using list_code_usages without remembering to close + re-open the chat buffer first.

Yes I can continue the conversation, but it cannot use the list_code_usages tool.
