OBD-II pin #8/9 discrepancy

The table on this page http://openxcplatform.com/vehicle-interface/hardware.html and the directions on this page http://chipkit-vi.openxcplatform.com/assembly/obd2.html talk about CAN2-2 being on pin #8. On some vehicles this is actually pin #8. Trying to track down more details about which vehicles are which before fixing.
