iOS: Bottom part of screen cropped on iPad 9

I have installed plugdata on an iPad 9th generation running iOS 18.7.
While there is unused screen space at the top of the plugdata screen, the bottom bar is cropped and only partially visible.
This happens both in portrait and landscape orientation, and changing scaling or zooming in the plugdata settings has no effect:

Just to add that I upgraded that iPad 9 to iOS 26 and it has the same problem.

The same for MacOS 15.6.1 on Macbook Air M1.
