Resident evil 7 Ghist image/flashing?

I have an issue with a ghost image flasing on and off endlessly. It works and looks great besides the endless flashing.

I am running it on the direct x12 version of the game. I tried deleting the openvr, leaving the openxr only. I played around with the games graphics settings, to inclued each aliasing setting, I shut off all of the recommend settings as well. I then tried to use direct x11, that failed, then i did a fresh install, deleted everything, downloaded a new copy, changed it to dx11, then added a fresh download of the newest mod, will not go into VR mode, unlike dx12. I also removed open VR once the game would not go into vr mode, still no vr mode.

I have an rtx 5090, an ultra 9 285k cpu, i can use a quest 2 or PSVR2 with PC adapter (both did the same thing when i switched them out, flash ghostbimage or no VR).

I have the same problem with my RTX 5080 card.
i use VD with VDXR ( openxr )
The screen flickers.
Using a much older version of REF Nightly 01151 helped, but it still happens sometimes.
The same symptoms occur in Resident Evil Village, but even using an older version of REF Nightly doesn't help there.
It's very annoying... I should mention that this didn't happen before... It's possible it's caused by NVIDIA drivers.

I have the same problem with my RTX 5080 card. i use VD with VDXR ( openxr ) The screen flickers. Using a much older version of REF Nightly 01151 helped, but it still happens sometimes. The same symptoms occur in Resident Evil Village, but even using an older version of REF Nightly doesn't help there. It's very annoying... I should mention that this didn't happen before... It's possible it's caused by NVIDIA drivers.

I figured it out, i deleted all files, uninstalled, downloaded a fresh cooy of the game DX12 version. Then a fesh copy of the mod, where i deleted the XR runtin file, not the VR one. I pasted in the files and it worked, all mirror flasing images are gone. I made some mild adjustments to the graphics settings and it looks great. Once i beat it i am going to put the 4K mod in as well and play it again.

What is "4K mod" ? and what does it do ?
I will try to install the games again but I prefer to use XR ...not OpenVR
