It'd be awesome if you could upload your images to Docker Hub too. It's a more widely used and accepted hub than GitHub's.

I don't see the advantage of docker hub, especially their rate limits are pretty annoying.
Also, dockerhub requires handling additional secrets while GHCR comes automatically with the github token in CI.
I personally don't see why GHCR should have less reputation than dockerhub, given that GitHub is a much larger company than docker

But if the demand is there to host the images on dockerhub as well, i guess it should be possible...

If it were a limitation for a set of users, I could see a reason to add it. But I'm not sure if that is the case @Lundez ?

@ruben-arts @pavelzw some companies has allow-lists and thereby restricts from pulling from ghrc.io, and yes this is from experience.

Of course this is an organisational matter and can be solved in the other end.

I think it's fine if you prefer to keep only ghrc. It was merely a suggestion to make adoption easier :)

if we are doing this, we should also look into how images like ubuntu automatically generate the docker readmes with the latest tags
