Overview

Even with baseLayer={false} and baseLayerPicker={false}, the Network tabs shows request(s) being made to dev.virtualearth.net, which is undesirable—especially for limited Ion accounts. This is not the described behavior in the blog or the docs.

I've suggested a fix in the linked PR.
