Hello,

Our method transforms existing closed-set detection models like MaskRCNN to open-set detection models. One of our main result comparison is with open vocabulary detection methods. However, our method directly relies on pre-trained foundational models and does not require any training at all unlike existing open-vocabulary methods.

Thus you may classify it as under open vocabulary detection - transfer learning
