This Extension Wrecked My Setup, Cannot check in anything now

What's this issue all about?

I installed this add-in, and now git on my entire workstation is broken. I cannot check in anything without getting very vague error messages.

Expected Behaviour

I expect that git works on my workstation after installing this extension!

Actual Behaviour

I cannot check in code for anything now without getting "Unknown error" from git. This happens in VSCode, GitKraken, VS, everything.

Error is "Failed to Execute Git"

This has wrecked my workstation, and as a result I cannot check in a single thing, thus costing me an entire day (and it's still not fixed). DO NOT INSTALL THIS EXTEMSION!!!

This extension only executes git commands behind the scenes, so what you are describing doesn't make any sense.
Furthermore, you are the first user after ~180K downloads who report this behavior.
