Hey everyone,
Just a heads up to all contributors. We've had a couple PRs come through this week that haven't met expectations. This is not a negative comment on the contributors, the quality, or the amount of work put in - rather that we have very specific needs and use cases for features added to Skeleton. Given this, I've had to deny a couple large PRs from a couple active contributors. I hate doing this, it hurts every time, but I want everyone to know we take issues like this to heart, and I take full responsibility for these kinds of miscommunications.
To address this, we're going to implement a few changes going forward:
The goal here being to ensure we'll all on the same page and all working towards common goals together.
Tips for Contributing
A few other tips I want to share for anyone wishing to contribute:
I realize it can be scary to show unfinished worked, or perhaps you're just in the groove and forget, but I've seen several cases were a change in direction early on could have saved lots of time and effort! Everyone here is a developer and understand what unfinished work looks like. Plus no one will ever judge your work in a malicious manner. If they do, let me know, and I'll drop the ban hammer in an heartbeat ;)
But again, the goal is to work together and create something badass - and we're well on our way with Skeleton. If you have other ideas for improving this process please let me know in the comments below. I value your feedback.
Thanks,
Chris
