Description
Got redirected here from Dilbert's repo as I have a classic series. I made up a protoboard last night with his 33/10k setup and tried hooking up to where an existing panel is, doing some painting so had the panel off the wall and it's gonna look crap on the wall now being beige.
I've got a DSC2500 with a couple (working) panels, a 2550 guide also suggested using menu 19 to change to the PC16? Well the 2500, 19 changes the master code according to the manual. As a heads up for anyone with a 2500.
I'm noticing that this setup requires more? wiring?
Classic series only, PGM configured for PC-16 output:
DSC PGM ------+--- 1k ohm resistor --- DSC Aux(+)
|
| Arduino +--- dscPC16Pin (Arduino Uno: 4)
+--- 15k ohm resistor ---|
| +--- 10k ohm resistor --- Ground
|
| esp8266/esp32 +--- dscPC16Pin (esp8266: D7, GPIO 13 / esp32: 17)
+--- 33k ohm resistor ---|
+--- 10k ohm resistor --- Ground
so a 1k bridge between PGM and AUX+ and PGM to ESP gpio17? through a 33/10 voltage divider?
Is this all that's required for classic beyond GND, or is it additional to yellow and green?
Also I'm not seeing the voltages on yellow and green that I think are expected for a 33/10 divider.
At the controller without yellow and green connected to it, I see ~10V on yellow terminal and ~4.5V on green terminal.
Was expecting more than that, but the panels still work... which is leading me to believe I'm making this harder than it needs to be
PGM OUT is currently empty
