:missing setting: Local Host / LAN

The ability to start a multiplayer game with out connecting to a online server is failing. I'm trying to launch a multiplayer game on my device, then through either the same wifi, or a wifi hot spot another device can connect to my game. I know this is possible on computer, although a feature like this is prevalent in many android games, and it's great for long road trips or flights.
Notable games on android which use a lan ability are teraria, and minecraft. there are many more but those are the most well known.

Same...Iknow that to the local game ishould enter 0.0.0.0 but even though the screen goes black and the game not starting
