How to build store locator, like in Mapbox

Hi everyone!

I'm trying to build a store locator, like Mapbox's tutorial here (see screenshot below):

How do I go about doing this using APIs in this library? Or, do I just have to implement Mapbox in React (Mapbox tutorial) and try and mix it up with this tutorial?

Keen to see anything like a store locator that anyone has worked on too to understand!
