Description

This is a request to reopen this previously closed ticket (closed due to inactivity)
#659

Now we have a pull request fixing this issue, and so it should be prioritized to be looked at again.

Steps to reproduce

See the original ticket #659 for reproduction steps

Expected behavior

User should be able to enter february 29th of a leap year

Actual behavior

user is forced to first enter the correct year, then go and enter day 29 and month 2
