structured logging in JSON format

In v2.4.0 more structured logging was introduced (MR #31). However, at this time, logs in JSON format is not supported.

This is, unfortunately, not a priority for me to implement at this time due to limited availability. However, I am willing to accept a PR that implements JSON formatted logs.
