Preference toggle for zen.urlbar.show-domain-only-in-sidebar

The release notes for version 1.9b reference the new zen.urlbar.show-domain-only-in-sidebar flag, but the browser defaults to true. I would like to see this become a toggle-able setting without needing to remember the flag name inside the about:config page, please! I want the location bar to show the full URL, and I'm sure many others would as well. Not everyone will read the release notes, let alone dig through the archive of release notes to find out that this or future introduced preference flags exist.

Hi! just wanted to chime in. My sole contribution to Zen Browser is adding that flag zen.urlbar.show-domain-only-in-sidebar. I made this flag because I think showing the full domain without https is the absolute best.

But then why did I make the default value true? In older Zen versions, the default behaviour was the same as when turning this flag to false. At some point the lead developer decided that the url should only show the domain, or the full url including https. The new default behaviour became domain only. I honestly did not like this change at all. I was glad when I found the flag to show the full address, but unfortunately this includes https://, which is obviously a very big waste of space on the sidebar.

I decided I might be the only person on the planet actively annoyed by this, but the project is open source, so there was nothing stopping me from adding a new flag to enable the old (and more sensical) behaviour. So that's why it's true by default. I did not want to go against the intended design by the developer, so I did not change the default behaviour.

But disregarding that story, I do agree that this should be easier to toggle. I think having the address without https:// but with the trailing information is the most functional. For those who know the flag already like myself and you it's pointless, but I'm sure more users would prefer this behaviour if they knew about it.

We should also remember that Zen is still in Beta and I've heard them talk multiple times about how they intend to move more obscure settings to the proper settings page at some point. Hopefully this is included.
