Adding a time out to the call to validate emails #7

Right now, it looks like y'all are not setting a timeout on the request to your email validation api, which I believe means that by default the timeout is set to none.
Would you be willing to expose that as a parameter so callers can set their own timeouts? I wasn't sure if you took open source contributions, which is why I didn't just put up a pr.
