Nice work. Two general notes, with more detail in code comments:
- Our users would benefit from maybe a paragraph about why they need to have a global connector and sqlalchemy engine instance, and how to acomplish this in their cloud run application
- The global connector and sqlalchemy instance should also be lazy-instantiated on the first HTTP request.
