PHASE 1: Research

Objective: Understand what currently exists and identify what works, what doesn't, and what's missing.

Tasks: Review all existing pages and features.

Deliverable: Feature Inventory Summary with recommendations per module.

Estimated duration: 7 days

PHASE 2: Idea & Brainstorming

Objective: Generate new ideas, improvments, and potential new features.

Tasks:

  • Use yellow stickies to propose:
    • New features or functionalities
    • UX/UI improvments
  • Group all ideas by category (Goals, Insights, Banking, Settings, etc).
  • Discuss as a team and refine each idea.

Deliverable: List of new and improved features grouped by module

Estimated duration: 14 days (Deadline 28.10.2025)

PHASE 3: Prioritization

Objective: Decide what features go into the MVP redesign and what goes into future phases.

Tasks:

  • Use a prioritization system (Impact vs. Effort).
  • Vote as a team for each idea or feature.
  • Define three groups:
    • MVP features - must have
    • Future roadmap - nice to have
    • Not relevant - remove or pause

Deliverable: Feature Priority Map (visual board of prioritization)

Estimated duration: 1-2 days (Deadline: 30.10.2025)

PHASE 4: Information Architecture & UX Structure

Objective: Redefine the app flow and structure based on approved features.

Tasks:

  • Create a new sitemap for the app.
  • Define user flows for key features (e.g., adding a transaction, setting a goal).
  • Review usability and navigation consistency.
  • Start early wireframe sketches for complex screens.

Deliverable: Updated app structure + initial UX wireframes.

Estimated duration: 7-14 days (Deadline: 10.11.2025)

PHASE 5: UI Design & Prototype

Objective: Translate wireframes into visual design aligned with Finance.io branding.

Tasks:

  • Redesign visual style and components.
  • Prepare interactive protoype for user testing.
  • Refine based on feedback and team reviews.

Deliverable: High-fidelity protoype ready for testing.

Estimated duration: 14 days (Deadline: 24.11.2025)

PHASE 6: Review & Handoff

Objective: Finalize all screens and documentation for developers.

Tasks:

  • Conduct internal review sessions.
  • Prepare design documentation, component guidelines, and assets.
  • Deliver final prototype to dev team.

Deliverable: Design System + Developer Handoff package.

Estimated duration: 7 days (Deadline 30.11.2025)

The Developer Handover: 30.11.2025

PHASE 7: Splitting parts and Planning

Tasks:

  • Create Issues / Tickets for each Task.
  • Prioritize the tasks
  • Assign the tasks

Deliverable: Plan for the nexts weeks, everyone knows his task

Estimated duration: 1 day (Deadline 01.12.2025)

PHASE 8: Dashboard, Analyse Pages and Transaction Pages

Tasks:

  • Building the Dashboard UI and Backend
  • Building the Analyse Pages UI and Backend
  • Building the UI and Backend for Transaction Pages

Deliverable:

Estimated duration: 14 days (Deadline 15.12.2025)
