Release Checklist for Windowbuilder

These are the actions done when a new release has to be created.

Update release version numbers

• The version numbers in all feature.xml files should be brought to the version we are about to release
• If this is not yet the case, then mass replace all versions in all feature.xml, commit and build

Run the Release Job

• After a good build, run the Release job here: https://ci.eclipse.org/windowbuilder/
• This will copy the current snapshot build to https://download.eclipse.org/windowbuilder/latest/
• and it will copy the current snapshot build to https://download.eclipse.org/windowbuilder/n.n.n (n.n.n is the version, e.g. 1.9.8)

Update feature version numbers to the next release

• The version numbers in all feature.xml files should be brought to the version we are going to release next

Update website

• Update the downloads.php on the website ssh://user_id@git.eclipse.org:29418/www.eclipse.org/windowbuilder.git

Update the aggregator file for the release train

• windowbuilder.aggrcon is here https://git.eclipse.org/c/simrel/org.eclipse.simrel.build.git/

Update Milestones

• A new milestone should be created that matches the next Eclipse release in 6 months (we aim for two releases per year).
• All open issues and pull requests in the current milestone should be closed or moved to the new milestone.

Update the project website

• Update release documentation https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/tools.windowbuilder
• Add a new release
