No workflow file or token required. Seems simpler.

I think using the GitHub action feels more transparent. But I don’t think there’s a fundamental difference for this project.

But I don’t think there’s a fundamental difference for this project.

Hmm I forgot a big difference here is self-hosted Renovate is creating PRs on my own behalf instead of the bot. Let's move to the Renovate app instead.
