  • Compatibility with gcc-15 (which follows c20 standard): Explicitly cast function pointers
  • Clean up compiler warnings for several (older) EPICS releases, compiler versions, architectures
  • Clean up Windows, mingw and VxWorks peculiarities
  • Clean up whitespace (space/tab mix, space at end of line, missing final newline) and add .editorconfig and GHA to check
  • Fix spelling errors
  • Allow cross compilers to find tirpc in their respective SYSROOT directory instead of the host implementation

For architectures where `epicsInt64` is `long`, rather than `long long`
(e.g. 64 bit Linux), cast `"%lld"` format arguments to `(long long)`.

Windows SOCKET is not an int

Windows SOCKS are actually long long unsigned and may lose information
when casting to int.
For simplicity print all socket fds as (long long) on all architectures.
