Cimaise includes a maintenance system that automatically generates missing image variants and blur previews for protected albums. This runs automatically on each page request, but for best performance, you can schedule it via cron.
Add this to your crontab (crontab -e):

- Image Variant Generation — Creates missing responsive variants (AVIF, WebP, JPEG) for all uploaded images
- Blur Variant Generation — Creates blurred preview images for:
- NSFW albums (for age-gated content)
- Password-protected albums (for locked content previews)
- File-based locking — Prevents concurrent execution if the cron runs while another is still processing
- Date tracking — Skips execution if already run today (unless
--forceis used) - Graceful failure — Logs errors without blocking other operations
