Summary of Changes

Hello @fossabot, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request introduces FOSSA integration to the project, enabling automated license scanning. The primary impact is the addition of FOSSA status badges to the README.md, offering a quick visual reference for the project's license compliance status directly within the repository's main documentation.

Highlights

  • FOSSA Integration: The pull request successfully integrates FOSSA for license scanning, providing a mechanism to track the project's license compliance.
  • README.md Updates: FOSSA status badges have been added to the README.md file. This includes a shield badge (initially commented out) near the top and a larger status badge at the end of the file to visually indicate the license scan status.

Code Review

This pull request, which appears to be automated by FOSSA, adds a license scan status badge to your README.md. My review has identified a couple of minor issues with how the changes have been implemented. The new shield badge at the top of the file has been placed within an HTML comment, which will prevent it from being displayed. Additionally, the change removes the final newline character from the file, which is contrary to common best practices. I've provided specific comments and a suggestion to help resolve these issues.

The status badges, including the newly added FOSSA badge, are located inside an HTML comment, which will prevent them from being rendered on the page. Given that the purpose of this pull request is to display a status badge, this is likely unintentional. To ensure the badges are visible, please move them outside of the <!-- ... --> comment block.

This change removes the trailing newline from the file. It is a widely-accepted best practice for text files to end with a newline character. Please add a newline at the end of the file.
