Yeah, I'm finally thinking about this. I did some digging on various third party datepicker tools out there and VCP seemed like the most well-maintained and logical option to build upon. The goal here is to use as much of VCP as possible and keep our overhead at a minimum.

This is heavily a Claude first-pass, so please don't bother reviewing just yet. Lots more needed to be done, but wanted to get the ball rolling here.
